DL:
Women can add a great deal of value in sorting out supply chain complexities where analytical thinking is a must.
What is your favorite movie?
DL: Beaches
What two items would you want if you were ship-wrecked on a desert island?
DL: A knife and flint for fire.
If you won $5,000 tomorrow, what would you spend it on?
DL: I would plan a vacation to Thailand.
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
DL:Know your value, work hard and be honest, be bold and continue to step out of your comfort zone.

What is your present role at DB Schenker?
SS: I am the Service Manager at Star Global Division supervising branches from CMH, ORD, LAX, and JFK.
Have you done anything to improve at Schenker today and can others learn from this? 
SS: A critical aspect of my role at Schenker is to lead by example and foster morale. By taking an active role in my position, I have promoted job efficiency among colleagues, maximized employee performance levels, and upheld customer satisfaction.
How long have you been working in the logistics industry?
SS: I have worked in the logistics industry for 26 years.

SS: I have been with DB Schenker for 20 years.
What is your present responsibility at DB Schenker?
SS: I coordinate all logistic needs for domestic and international clients.
What makes the logistics industry a great place to work for a woman today?
SS: Through my years in the logistics industry, I have not experienced gender preference or glass ceilings that prevented me from attaining the position I have today.
What music do you listen to?
SS: I enjoy listening to classical music.
What two items would you want if you were ship-wrecked on a desert island?
SS: A knife and a box of matches.
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
SS: Do not be afraid to accept challenges and express your ideas.

CP: I’ve been with DB Schenker for 10 years now.
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
CP: With Logistics customers having more women in decision making roles, the industry has recognized that it must adopt a similar model, thus, creating new and exciting opportunities that might not have existed before.
Where did you go on your last vacation and why?
CP: I went to South Beach with my daughter and her university roommates so that I could spend time with my best friend along with her best friends.

AA: For 6 years now
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
AA: Bear in mind your goal. Be strong, reliable, and never forget that we always can make a difference… YES, we can!

AA: Thinking of the future, I probably would save the money.

KB: For almost 5 months
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
KB: Always give your best – entering the workforce can be challenging, but also a fun and rewarding experience.
What book are you currently reading (or last read)?
KB: The Little Prince – by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

How long have you been with DB Schenker?
SC: I’ve been at Schenker now for about 16 months.
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
SC: My advice to young women, speak up and challenge all stereotypes and bias.  Do not be afraid to be a feminist because it simply means equality, nothing more. The Webster’s definition of feminism: “The theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes”.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
SC: In my spare time, I like to do things just for me. As a mother/wife/employee, it’s important to have “me” time, especially for getting exercise and stress reduction activities away from work and other demands.

KO: For 24 years and 4 months
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
KO: You need a lot of dedication and also ned to like the Logistics industry. Choosing this field only for the money generally is not a good idea. The salary should be a factor, but not the sole driverWhat do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
KO: I spend my time with my family, do volunteer work, and also study Social Services at the university.

KO: In my opinion, it’s a dynamic service that we learn every moment and with that, the professional and personal accomplishments always happen.

KO: Diary of Anne Frank.

NH: Maintenance, Quality, Environment, and Safety Manager
Have you done anything to improve at Schenker today and can others learn from this?
NH: Implemented the recycling program in Chicago and it turned to be a big success!
