DB Schenker further expands its position as an international partner for complex logistics solutions along the entire supply chain with new facilities that highlight expertise in temperature-controlled logistics.

Shah Alam, Malaysia

DB Schenker in Malaysia opened its sixth and seventh facilities in the Shah Alam U10 Logistics Park, Central Malaysia. These facilities provide warehousing, distribution and value-added services.

The newly opened logistics center features a built-up space of 118,000 square feet and 154,000 square feet, a combined storage capacity of more than 25,000 pallet positions, and an office space of 4,000 square feet each. Both facilities provide temperature-controlled and ambient areas to suit the requirements of different customers.

Strategically located within the new Shah Alam U10 Logistic Park, the facility is centrally positioned within Klang Valley and approximately seven miles from the corporate offices in Bukit Jelutong; the distance to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is just 37 miles and there are only 17 milers to Port Klang.

Perth, Australia

DB Schenker Australia has expanding its Perishables Logistics footprint within Australia by opening a new facility in Perth. The company, which has a strong presence in this niche on the East coast of Australia and in New Zealand, has invested in a world-class facility at their High Wycombe site, conveniently located near to both the airport and the harbor at Fremantle.

The facility boasts over 5,500 square feet of floor space with a large anteroom, two chillers and a freezer. There is capacity to store product up to four pallets high and the site has an unbroken cold chain to maintain product integrity.

Ron Koehler, CEO of Schenker Australia said, “We are thrilled to offer our services to the ever growing local and international customers of Perishables in Western Australia who are looking for a world class facility to manage their goods, goods where the producers have put their heart and soul into creating, and which deserve excellent handling to ensure it arrives in the best condition to all regions of the world.”

DB Schenker is one of the leading and fastest growing global logistics service providers. With our innovative industry solutions and worldwide consistent first-class operations, we are, and we will be the supply chain partner of choice for the best companies globally.

Managing supply chain logistics is a complex process. At DB Schenker, we serve as a contract logistics partner for businesses across all key markets. Our worldwide network covers more than 750 locations in over 50 countries with a total warehouse space of more than 85 million square feet.
