SS: I am the Service Manager at Star Global Division supervising branches from CMH, ORD, LAX, and JFK.

SS: A critical aspect of my role at Schenker is to lead by example and foster morale. By taking an active role in my position, I have promoted job efficiency among colleagues, maximized employee performance levels, and upheld customer satisfaction.

SS: Through my years in the logistics industry, I have not experienced gender preference or glass ceilings that prevented me from attaining the position I have today.

What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
CP: With Logistics customers having more women in decision making roles, the industry has recognized that it must adopt a similar model, thus, creating new and exciting opportunities that might not have existed before.
Where did you go on your last vacation and why?
CP: I went to South Beach with my daughter and her university roommates so that I could spend time with my best friend along with her best friends.

SC: I’ve been at Schenker now for about 16 months.
What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
SC: My advice to young women, speak up and challenge all stereotypes and bias. Do not be afraid to be a feminist because it simply means equality, nothing more. The Webster’s definition of feminism: “The theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes”.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
SC: In my spare time, I like to do things just for me. As a mother/wife/employee, it’s important to have “me” time, especially for getting exercise and stress reduction activities away from work and other demands.

What advice would you give to young women entering the workforce today?
KO: You need a lot of dedication and also ned to like the Logistics industry. Choosing this field only for the money generally is not a good idea. The salary should be a factor, but not the sole driver. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
KO: I spend my time with my family, do volunteer work, and also study Social Services at the university.
